A successful time

The Child's play auction was a success. A kind soul bought my finished girls of gaming piece and I feel like I did my part in helping sick kids out there. I've been working on getting Indigo and Pinion comics and concept up to date and print ready this month. Here's some sketches here and there and a bonus Christmas themed art piece featuring characters from the awesome comic Reed Gunther

It's been quite a crazy month

 So this past while I've been busy with NYCC and Youmacon in Detroit. I had good times at those conventions, thanks to everyone who came by and said hello. I've also been busy with some big projects. I started a Bayonetta piece at Youmacon to combat how females are always hanging off of powerful men.
I've also been working on a huge piece to donate to the Child's Play charity ball next month. Featuring classic ladies of gaming.

finally finished my Avatar, the last air bender series, check them out on Deviantart. They seem to go over really well with kids at conventions!

Started this at Dragoncon, hopefully I'll have it as a print at AWA in a few short weeks.

I've never been real good at stopping my workflow to take progress pictures, but I tried a ,ittle harder on this piece. I wanted to do a marker sketch since I really love working with copics. I love how colorful I can get a page with them and I knew I wanted to do a Skies of Arcadia piece.

2011 Sketchbook cover

This year I finally put together a collection of my work to release in a small sketchbook format to sell at cons. Now I'm working on a cover for that sketchbook, and I decided to feature my characters Katze & Perrin. I rarely draw her anymore (Pinion project is on the back burner) even though I love the design and she always gets a positive response from people. Anyways I drew the initial pose and decided I didn't like the expression and overall it just felt "flat" & "dead" so I redrew it again and I'm much happier with the result!

Very much looking forward to painting this later!

Stages of Zuko

I worked on these three Zuko marker drawings today that will be part of a mixed media piece I'm working on. They're supposed to represent to three most important stages of Zuko's life and how he changes as a character. Now to take scissors to them...

Convention Season is in full force

C2E2 went great, and I also attended Megacon afterwards. Now I'm gearing up for Anime Boston in a few weeks. Been doing many print layouts and marker sketches to hone my skills.
